The Vegan Burger

We smash our burgers here at Gritz. There's nothing better tasting then caramelized beef between a freshly baked bun. The maillard reaction that is caused when the natural sugars of foods are cooked at high temperatures gives the smash burger its distinct flavour. Adding to the fact that all our burger products are prepared, from scratch, fresh everyday our burgers are by far the best in Bali. Our bakers bake our buns fresh everyday. Our butchers mince fresh beef everyday. Our chefs prepare our own sauces. And our vegetables are delivered, to us, directly from our farmers. You seriously can't get any better.

We value our vegans here at Gritz so of course we make special burgers for them. This is a trusted recipe made abroad that makes all our vegan friends smile. Using a combination of our Corn Fritters with grilled mushrooms drizzled with capsicum sauce between two buns and some crunchy lettuce. Geez.
Ingredients

We believe the combination of brioche and potato bread is the best for burger buns. Its soft inside and slightly crusty outside is perfect for burgers or as a dinner roll

Our corn fritters also contain capsicum, shallots and fresh herbs. Mixed with a little egg and flour for the right consistency. We then lightly fry them, to order, so they stay fresh and moist on the inside and crispy on the outside

Roasted with Garlic and herbs, these Mushrooms are full of flavor. We bake it in the oven at a very high temperature allowing the flavors to penetrate while keeping the texture soft and firm

We like to use a local lettuce called grown right here in the Tabanan region of Bali. Our organic lettuce is picked fresh and delivered direct from the farm to our kitchen. We wash all of our vegetables with filtered water including our lettuce.

When the Avocado was ripe and fresh, we smash it until it has a creamy texture and mixed it with lime juice, sea salt and a little olive oil

Capsicum Relish made from roasting red capsicums. Roasting changes the flavour quite dramatically. When combining this earthy flavour with just the right amount of sweetness and adding a combination of herbs and spices you end up with a super delicious relish
