We smash our burgers here at Gritz. There's nothing better tasting then caramelized beef between a freshly baked bun. The maillard reaction that is caused when the natural sugars of foods are cooked at high temperatures gives the smash burger its distinct flavour. Adding to the fact that all our burger products are prepared, from scratch, fresh everyday our burgers are by far the best in Bali. Our bakers bake our buns fresh everyday. Our butchers mince fresh beef everyday. Our chefs prepare our own sauces. And our vegetables are delivered, to us, directly from our farmers. You seriously can't get any better.

We believe the combination of brioche and potatoes is the best for burger buns. Its soft inside and slightly crusty outside is perfect for burgers or as a dinner roll

Our burger patty's are made from freshly minced beef and salt. No preservatives. We smash two portions of 90 gram balls on a hot griddle ensuring maximum Maillard reaction allowing the patty to reach its full beefy potential.

We like to use a local lettuce called grown right here in the Tabanan region of Bali. Our organic lettuce is picked fresh and delivered direct from the farm to our kitchen. We wash all of our vegetables with filtered water including our lettuce.

For aesthetic reasons we like to use the larger western brown onion variety for our Whoppa Burgers. They fit just perfectly inside this delicious burger.

This house-made recipe has been perfected over many years allowing for the perfect balance of sour and sweet. We use local cucumbers farmed by local farmers in the Tabanan region of Bali. Fresh Dill and mustard seeds. We keep them a touch crispier than the usual mass produced jars of pickles you'll find in the shops.

Tomato Sauce. At Gritz we use the brand from our tomato sauce. Its rich tomato texture has a good balance of sour savory and sweet.

American Mustard is the of course the best mustard for burgers. The brand is the most common in Indonesia
